Data collection when you visit our website

When using our website for information purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server (known as "server log files"). When you visit our website, we collect the following data that is technically necessary for us to display the website to you:

  • Our visited website
  • Date and time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you accessed the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used (in anonymised form)

Processing is carried out in accordance with art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data will not be passed on or used in any other way. The server log files are stored for a maximum of 31 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, e.g. to clarify cases of misuse. If data has to be set aside for reasons of evidence, it is excluded from deletion until the incident has been finally resolved.

SSL or TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as the site operator, our website uses SSL or TLS encryption. This means that data that you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" address line of your browser and the lock symbol in the browser line.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your web browser stores on your device. Cookies help us to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure.

Some cookies are "session cookies." Such cookies are deleted automatically at the end of your browser session. On the other hand, other cookies remain on your device until you delete them yourself. Such cookies help us to recognise you when you return to our website.

You can use a modern web browser to monitor, restrict or prevent the setting of cookies. Many web browsers can be configured so that cookies are automatically deleted when the program is closed. Deactivation of cookies may result in the functionality of our website being limited.

The setting of cookies which are necessary for the exercise of electronic communication processes or the provision of certain functions desired by you, takes place on the basis of art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the smooth provision of our services free from technical faults. If other cookies are stored (e.g. for analysis functions), these are treated separately in this data protection declaration.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

Our website uses Google AdWords. These are operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States.

AdWords is an online advertising program. As part of the online advertising program, we work with conversion tracking. A cookie is stored for conversion tracking once an ad placed by Google has been clicked on. Cookies are small text files that your web browser stores on your end device. Google AdWords cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification of the user. The cookie enables Google and us to recognise that you clicked on an ad and were redirected to our website.

Each Google AdWords customer has a different cookie. Cookies are not trackable through AdWords customer websites. Conversion cookies are used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who use conversion tracking. AdWords customers can see how many users clicked on their ad and were redirected to pages with a conversion tracking tag. However, AdWords customers do not receive any information that enables the personal identification of users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to its use. Here, the conversion cookie must be deactivated in the user settings of the browser. This will mean that it is not included in conversion tracking statistics.

"Conversion cookies" are stored on the basis of art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We as website operators have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our website range and our advertising.

For details about Google AdSense and Google conversion tracking, please see Google's privacy policy at http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can use a modern web browser to monitor, restrict or prevent the setting of cookies. Deactivation of cookies may result in the functionality of our website being limited.

You can register on our website to use certain functions (e.g. booking seminars from the Competenza academy). The data transmitted is used exclusively for the purpose of using the offer or service in question. Mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise we will refuse the registration.

In the event of important changes, for example for technical reasons, we will inform you of this by email. The email will be sent to the address you provided when you registered.

We will process the data provided during registration only on the basis of your consent (art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. A notification by email is sufficient for the revocation - no special form is required. The legality of the processing of data which has already occurred before we receive your request remains unaffected by this.

We store the data collected during registration during the period you are registered on our website. Your data will be deleted if you cancel your registration. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

This data will not be passed on without your consent.

We will therefore process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent (art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.

Newsletter data

We need an email address from you to be able to send our newsletter. It is necessary to verify the email address provided, and consent must be given for receipt of the newsletter. Additional data is not collected or is voluntary. The data will only be used for sending the newsletter.

The data provided when registering for the newsletter will be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. You may revoke your consent for storing your data and for its use for sending the newsletter at any time. There is a link for this purpose in every newsletter, or you can use our "unsubscribe form" on this homepage. Your data will then be deleted from our database immediately. The legality of the processing of data which has already occurred before we receive your request remains unaffected by this.

Data entered to set up the subscription will be deleted in the event of unsubscription. Should this data have been transmitted to us for other purposes and to other bodies by us, it will remain with us.

Privacy policy for Competenza academy

We store and use the data transmitted by you such as name, company, address, email and telephone number for the purpose of fulfilling our order (performance of state-approved training courses and other advanced training seminars).

We will also use your date of birth to ensure personal identification when issuing certificates and confirmations of attendance for our courses. We will keep a copy of the certificate for 50 years so that we can issue a duplicate in the event of loss.

For state-approved courses (Technical Requirements for Hazardous Substances 519) we are subject to the requirements of the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety. Otherwise your personal data will not be passed on to third parties.

Your data will only be used for information and advertising purposes with your express consent. This consent may be revoked at any time. In addition, you have the right to information as well as the correction, the blocking and, if no other legal regulation prohibits this, the deletion of your data at any time.

Google Maps

We use Google Maps (API) from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google") on our website. Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (country) maps in order to display geographical information visually. Using this service will show you our location and make it easier for you to find us.

Even when opening sub-pages which include the Google Maps map, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This takes place regardless of whether Google makes available a user account via which you are logged in or no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your information will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google saves your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them. An evaluation of this nature is carried out in particular in accordance with art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR on the basis of Google's legitimate interest in the placement of personalised advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right.

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield", which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.

If you do not agree to the future transmission of your data to Google in the context of the use of Google Maps, it is also possible to completely deactivate the Google Maps web service by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. In this case, Google Maps and hence the map display on this website cannot be used.
